Week 7 & 8 - Canada

We headed to Canada
Canada, eh?
In science we talked about water displacement
These were two fun experiments to show how water isn't flat and holds a space. It was interesting.

Our sweeties (I know they will not always love being called my sweetie, but oh how they are so sweet to me!) did a fun art project showing perspective and shades. We had a small cold snap and I felt like we should do something to get in the spirit of the season. We have yet to get actual snow but I know it's not too far off.

While we were in Canada, our read aloud was Anne of Green Gables. This is one of my favorite books, but I didn't know how the BOYS were going to like it. It took a couple of chapters for them to adjust in the difference in writing style, but I was so excited that they are really enjoying it!! Because I got sick, I borrowed the audio book from the library and we've been listening to it in the van, trying to save my voice for other teaching. I love when learning is fun and not just tolerated... BUT I can tell I have an audience of boys. They think Anne is hysterical and love her ramblings and imagination.

Our Canadian feast divinely fell on the actual Canadian Thanksgiving Day. It was so fun to celebrate, even if their Thanksgiving looks exactly like our feast here in the U.S.A.

I'm so thankful that God is guiding our year for school.
He has some great things planned for us, I just know it!
